Thought I'd share this Letter to the Editor in the Indy Star about the Medicaid wait list. It is written by Darrell V. Poer of Nashville, In.

About Me
- Diveboard Dave
- I work for a Community-Based, Not-for-Profit agency. I have worked in the disability field for over twenty-five years. I am the father of two boys, and have been married to my teenage sweet-heart for 23 years. I live and work in the same town where I was born & raised.
Back in like 2003, when we signed Max up for the autism waiver, they told us we'd have funding in six months tops. Now he is 21 & we're still waiting. He doesn't need it for food & shelter, so we're not desparate, but the speech therapy it would buy might help him be more adaptable in the real world, more employable, generally improve his life. The little we have been able to manage has definitely done that, being half what the therapist recommends.
